Effective 10 September 2026.
The short version
This is a brochure site. It runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and it loads nothing from anybody else’s servers — every file on every page comes from whatcankillmeapp.com. The only information it ever receives about you is what you choose to type into the contact form.
What this notice does not cover
The app. Filing a hazard report, saving an Alert Place, sending a check-in and everything else you do inside What Can Kill Me is governed by the app’s Privacy Policy, which is a longer document because the app does considerably more. If you are trying to find out what happens to your reports, your location or your photos, that is the document you want.
The contact form
If you write to us through the form on the Contact page, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you picked, your message, and your organization and phone number if you chose to add them. Delivery is handled by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which relays the message to admin@whatcankillmeapp.com; their own privacy policy governs what they do with it in transit.
We use what you send to reply to you and nothing else. You are not added to a mailing list because you wrote to us.
Browser storage
One entry, written only if you dismiss the notice at the bottom of the page, so that it stays dismissed on your next visit. It lives in your browser, it is not read by anybody, and it is not sent anywhere. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, because there is no advertising and no analytics.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps the standard records any web server keeps: IP address, browser type, which pages were requested, timestamps and security events. These exist to run the site and protect it from abuse.
The archived prototype
The prototype at /demo/ is a single self-contained page running on sample data. It does not collect anything, send anything, or connect to anything.
Leaving this site
Some links take you elsewhere — the early-access page on theadventuretravelers.com, and our Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok pages. Once you follow one, that site’s own privacy policy applies, not this one.
What we never do
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. There are no analytics, attribution, advertising or tracking tools on this site, and we do not build a profile of you.
Your choices
Email admin@whatcankillmeapp.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will respond as applicable law requires and will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
The app is for adults and requires you to be 18 or older. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this notice changes, the effective date above changes with it.
