What these terms cover
This website at whatcankillmeapp.com, and the archived browser prototype hosted on it. By using either, you agree to what is on this page.
They do not cover the What Can Kill Me iPhone app. Using the app — creating an account, filing reports, subscribing to Premium — is governed by the app’s Terms of Use and its Privacy Policy.
This site is information, not advice
Everything here describes what the app does. It is general information about a product. It is not safety advice for any particular place, trip or situation, and it is not a substitute for official warnings, local authorities, professional judgment or your own.
Not an emergency service
Neither this website nor the prototype is an emergency service, a dispatch system, or a way to summon help. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
The prototype is not the app
The prototype kept at /demo/ is an early concept build. It runs on sample data in a fixed sample area, nothing in it is live, and it demonstrates several ideas that never shipped. Do not rely on anything it shows, and do not treat it as a description of the app.
Descriptions may change
Features, pricing, plan structure, availability, coverage and timing described on this site can change. We try to keep these pages accurate and current; we do not promise that every statement will stay true as the product develops.
Permitted use
You may read this site, share links to it, and evaluate the product. Please do not scrape or bulk-download it, attempt to break or overload it, misrepresent your identity when contacting us, or use the contact form to send unlawful, abusive or commercial bulk material.
Our material
What Can Kill Me™ is a trademarked name, and the underlying technology is patent pending under a provisional patent application. The text, photographs, screenshots, logo and design on this site are ours. You may quote a short passage with attribution and a link; anything more — republishing, reselling, or using our material to promote something else — needs written permission first.
Links to other places
We link to social platforms, an early-access page on theadventuretravelers.com, and the public agencies whose data the app uses. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.
No warranty
This website is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, What Can Kill Me is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or the prototype. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them.
